Nigeria’s UK singer Myoa (real name Mayowa)and her band with the stage name MYOA Bandhas made it through to the top 20 contestants on the America’s Got Talent show. These top 20 contestants are now competing via votes online for a chance to perform live towards the final show. MYOA is a Recording & Performing Artist & Songwriter. Myoa lived her growing years in England later relocated to the USA to attend the Musicians Institute in Hollywood to follow her passion for music and barely three years after that has released her debut single Can A Stranger;which has been noted to be one of the freshest unique songs of this year.

In 2011, the actor was sued by an Abuja based lady, Habiba Abubakar, for allegedly defrauding her of N15million. The case went to court and Jim Iyke was charged with criminal breach of trust, criminal force, assault, cheating and criminal misappropriation.

But the case was this week thrown out by the court for lack of evidence, clearing Jim Iyke of any liability. Jim and Habiba will now resolve their issues out of court.

Church members barred from discussing Okotie’s failed marriage

If you're a member of House Hold of God, you know this piece of information is correct. Members of Chris Okotie's church have been barred from discussing his failed marriage, either in secret or in the open. The members were ~~warned~~ advised that it is in the best interest of the church not to discuss Chris Okotie, Stephanie Henshaw or their failed marriage...saying something about 'getting rid of the finger that could lead them to hell.”

The warning came after some church members were approached by members of the press to talk about what could have led to the disintegration of the four year old marriage.

The Kardashians spotted shopping around for burial plots

All members of the Kardashian clan minus the two teenage girls, Kendall and Kylie, were spotted at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary in LA two days ago looking for burial plots to buy.

According to TMZ, the family was there to buy a place where they can all be interred together! Them and their unborn children...

The deal will last for two years and the record label has already started getting him gigs both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. In fact Majek will embark on an international tour in July. He'll be touring Italy, Spain, Canada...and some countries yet to be confirmed. So get ready people. He might have lost his looks, but he's still got the talent.

Mainstreet Bank sacks 800 workers

Mainstreet bank, formerly Afribank Nigeria Plc, on Friday June 22nd terminated the services of 800 of its employees, including 650 members of the Association of Senior Staff of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI), a unit of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).

The Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress, Comrade John Kolawole made the disclosure at a press conference in Lagos yesterday June 25th. He queried Mainstreet bank’s sudden unilateral action despite ongoing negotiations and a court injunction that prevents Mainstreet from terminating employees.

50 Cent Injured In A Car Accident

Here's how his website is reporting the accident which occurred last night in Queens:

50 Cent was in a bad accident tonight as his bullet-proof SUV was rear-ended by a Mack truck on the LIE in NYC. He was put on a stretcher and taken to the nearest Queens hospital where they are currently running test on his neck and back. His driver is also currently in the hospital as the SUV almost flipped over.

Press statement from Chris Okotie's church on his failed marriage

Pastor Chris Okotie is not talking to the press at the moment. Quite a number of them have tried to reach him but he ain't having none of that.. :-). His church has released a press statement regarding his failed second marriage. Read it below...

"The Pastor of our Church, the Household of God, Oregun, Lagos, Rev Chris Okotie announced his separation from Stephanie his wife of four years, at the end last Sunday service.

Both parties arrived at this decision after careful review of the prevailing circumstances which pointed to the fact that it is the best option for them at this time. They also agreed not to divulge details of this incident for personal reasons.

Rev Okotie thanks concerned friends and well-wishers and asked for understanding. He also expressed the hope that their decision would be respected as no further details would be given on this issue.” - Household of God spokesperson, Mr. Ladi Ayodeji

PHCN high tension wire electrocute 7 people in Ibadan

Tragedy struck at the Apata market in Ibadan yesterday when seven persons, including a pregnant woman and a nursing mother, were instantly killed when a live high tension power cable of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) suddenly cut off and fell on traders at the ever busy market.

Basketmouth opens bar in Akoka, Yaba

The funny man has opened a bar located at 12 University road, Akoka, Yaba. emBARssy lounge and bar was opened last weekend (22nd, 23rd and 24th June) and it's owned by Okpocha Bright (basketmouth) Jide Salako and Kayode Peters.

A 22 year old Nigerian has emerged the best graduating student of John Hopkins University in the US. Emmanuel Ohuabunwa from Arochukwu, Abia State obtained a Grade Point Average of 3.98 out of a possible 4.0 to earn a degree in Neurosciences. Emmanuel is the first black man to make this Grade in the university.

For his efforts, he has won a scholarship to Yale University to pursue a degree in medicine. He has also been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Society, a prestigious honour group that features membership of 17 US Presidents, 37 US Supreme Court Justices, and 136 Nobel Prize winners. (Punch)

Beyonce &Jay Z's daughter named honorary citizen Of Hvar, Croatia

Beyonce and Jay Z vacationed in Croatia last year when Beyonce was pregnant. While there, Beyonce was filmed in front of a tree in Hvar, an Island in the Adriatic Sea. In the video, which she later posted on her Tumblr, Beyonce said: "I think it's Blue Ivy, which would be appropriate"

Now, the mayor of the town is thanking the superstars for bringing media and tourism attention to the town. He said tourism has dramatically increased since their visit, The mayor wrote a letter to Bey and Jay Z saying:

The story of the origin of your girl's name, Blue Ivy, has brought huge media attention and great tourism promotion to the town of Hvar. I have decided to grant your daughter the status of honorary citizen of the town.

That's not a fake baby bump now is it, doubting Thomases? lol

Is Goldie okay?

I don't know if some of you have noticed, but Goldie talks to herself a lot in the Big Brother House. It's kinda weird! After her fight with Prezzo today, she spent almost an hour talking to herself about the fight.

I thank God for my mind and my heart and the grace God has given me to be able to see certain things. Someone who really cares for you never count how many times they've been nice to you so on that note, you don't really care about me" Goldie said to herself.

And after her diary session with Biggie, Goldie said she wanted to leave the BBA house.

I can't afford this type of thing, I'm going home. Everybody will be disappointed but I can't. Everybody is strange but I'm even stranger" Goldie whispered to herself.

And then she's always crying. I'm hoping this her behaviour in the BBA house is all an act, otherwise it's quite worrisome.

The one-storey building Fela built and lived until his death on August 2, 1997, will be turned to a museum.
The house, located at 18, Gbemisola Str., Ikeja, which is also the late Afro beat legend's final resting ground, will be called Kalakuta Museum and is scheduled for opening in October this year during the annual Felabrations event.

The Kalakuta Museum when completed is expected to have an exhibition area, 5-room boutique hotel, a souvenir shop, a bar and stage and a roof-top restaurant among other things.

The home is being turned to a museum according to those behind it to preserve the history of an illustrious son of Africa, promote tourism, acquire, display and preserve artifacts, documents and records of the man referenced as well as those of his contemporaries of African ancestry.
