Well, I did that because the first pronounced relationship I had didn't work out because of unnecessary media attention. A lot of bad stories about me in the media suffered my relationship so I have to guide this one jealously and devoid of any unwanted attentions.

Big Brother Nigerian winner and video director, Katung Aduwak, is engaged to be married to his black American girlfriend, Raven Taylor. They got engaged in February 2012 after dating for almost two years and are planning their wedding for January 2013 in Chicago. Raven is from Chicago Illinois but has since relocated to Nigeria to be with her man.

Wizkid Wins BET Awards
Nigerian pop star Wizkid was announced winner of the Best International act (Africa) at the BET awards in LA on Sunday July 1, 2012 beating heavy weights Camp Mulla (Kenya), Ice Prince (Nigeria), Lira (South Africa) and Mokobe (Mali).

Partial closure of 3rd Mainland Bridge suspended
The Lagos State Commissioner for Transport has announced the temporary suspension of the closure of Third Mainland Bridge (the longest bridge in West Africa), which was scheduled for today, Sunday, July 1, 2012.
He said the Federal Ministry of Works is not ready to commence the repair works and will let Lagosians know when all issues have been resolved.

Nigeria now ranks among the top 10 failed states in Africa and 14th in the world, a global body, the Fund For Peace (FFP) declared in its 2012 annual Index Data released on Friday June 29th.

FFP is an independent, non-partisan non-profit research and educational organisation that works to prevent violent conflict and promote sustainable security.
According to the FFP, a total of 12 criteria were applied in arriving at the ranking. Some of the core criteria included security apparatus, factionalised elite, legitimacy of the state, external intervention, poverty and economic decline, uneven development, group grievance and demographic pressures, human flight and public services.
